Examples of work completed include:

1. Business Development - Our consultants have experience in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology business development, including portfolio management, drug-plus information value add, intellectual property management, divestment and acquisition.
2. Research and Laboratory Experience - Our consultants have worked in laboratory and other research roles ranging from Developmental Genetics (Great Ormond Street, London), Neurobiology, Genomics, Proteomics, and Bioinformatics (University of Kent, University of Oxford and a leading UK based Pharmaceuticals PLC), Biomechanics (Oxford Brooks University).
3. Medical Devices - An investigation was undertaken of the the worldwide medical plastics industry for a leading venture capital group with a view to establishing growth strategies in the industry. Advice has been given to prosthetics companies on acquisition strategies.
4. Clinical Research - AP Benson has undertaken clinical research projects with collaborators at the University of Cambridge and at Kaiser Permanente (a 9m member, US-based healthcare provider) into the use of electronic decision support and clinical records systems. We have considerable experience in working with physicians and nursing staff, interpreting their clinical needs and ensuring that these are met.
5. General Practice - Advice to primary care trusts on fund management, process improvement and business development.
6. Clinical Genetics - The development and support of desktop and online tools for genetic analysis and risk assessment. These tools are used by over 10,000 clinical and research genetics centres worldwide. AP Benson have collaborated with units at the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford, Kaiser Permanente, DeCode Genetics and GlaxoSmithKline on projects in this arena.
7. Electronic Medical Records - AP Benson consultants have worked on the development of electronic medical records systems in Germany, France, Belgium, Ireland, the UK and in the USA. These have ranged from on-line laboratory results delivery systems (Germany) to fully functional clinical systems (Belgium, Ireland, the UK) and in disciplines ranging from Dentistry (France) to Clinical Genetics (worldwide).
8. Intellectual Property Protection - The development and implementation of a genetics, genomics and proteomics patents tracking system for a leading UK pharmaceuticals PLC.
9. Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing - Our experience includes work within a large European pharmaceuticals company in the redevelopment of a nutra-ceuticals manufacturing plant.
